The fun is coming soon!  A HUGE thank you for registering to be a volunteer Head Coach for the 2024 spring season. 

This season we will hold an in-person Coaches Meeting at Stafford Hospital on March 2, 2024. All registered head coaches and assistant coaches are invited to attend.

COACHES MEETING DETAILS:   

• Saturday, 3/2/24, 9:00am-10:30am
  
  
• Location is Stafford Hospital, 101 Hospital Center Blvd, Stafford, VA 22554 
• Head Coaches please attend (or a representative)   
• Staff and Board Members will be on-site to answer questions
• Short presentations by office and technical staff
• Equipment pick-up
• Give-aways & raffles
• Your roster will be “live” online through your account by 3/3/24   
• Expect changes to your roster so please check often (Recreation)  
• A “virtual coaching packet” will be emailed on 3/2/24 at 4pm   

YOUR VIRTUAL PACKET WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:     

• Gwyneth’s Gift Hands-Only CPR Video 
• Links to any additional coaching information needed 
• A google form link for you to list your top 3 practice locations/days/times preferences   
• Practice session assignments will be made on a first come first served basis as the google form is date/time stamped   

REC/ACADEMY ESSENTIAL DATES:  

• 3/2/24 Coaches meeting  
• 3/2/24 - 3/7/24 REC Coaches reach out to their team with practice details asap (no later than 3/7/24 please)

• 4/6/24 OPENING WEEKEND! First weekend of games  
• 5/18/24 Last game weekend  
• 6/1/24 Held for rain-outs  

Practice Field Selection:  

The selection of practice fields will be managed online. We have prepared a "Request for Practice Field" google form, wherein the head coach will provide their top three options. The link to the form will be in your virtual coaching packet, which will be released to you via email at 4pm, March  2, 2024. The placement of coaches to practice fields will be on a "first-come, first-serve" basis. Please choose a field in your team's county quadrant.  You will not receive a field that is outside of your team's county quadrant.  If you are unsure, please contact recreation@staffordsoccer.com as soon as possible.

Coach Training  for REC and Academy. Sessions will be led by our technical staff 

• 3/2/24- U6 and U8 11:00am-12:00pm Courthouse Community Center
• 3/6/24- U10 through High School 6:00pm-7:00pm Embrey Mill Fields
