Welcome New Technical Staff Members

Stafford, VA (March 30, 2022)

Stafford Soccer is pleased to announce additions to our technical staff. We are excited to welcome Mitchell Gore, as our new U10 and below Director of Player Development.  Current staff coach, Adam Spinelli will be serving in his new role as the U15-U19 Director of Player Development.  Lastly, we would like to congratulate Keith Moser on his promotion to Assistant Technical Director and his new role as Goalkeeping Director.

Stafford Soccer’s continuous effort for improvement brings in the experience of Gore to keep the developmental needs of our players as the club’s number one focus. Our Technical Director of Coaching, Fernando Ramos said, “Mitchell brings a great depth of youth Director and coaching experience with him from his time at Lee Mount Vernon Soccer Club.  I’m excited to work with Mitchell on implementing new youth programs for all levels of play for our club membership.” As a student, Mitchell earned a master’s degree in education and human resources from Colorado State University. As a player, Mitchell played varsity High School soccer all four years, played two years of college soccer at Shephard University, and 4 years at Eglin Air Force Base.  As a coach, Mitchell has obtained the National “D” and the National Youth coaching licenses.  Mitchell has six years of coaching experience, with three years of experience as a Director of Youth Development with Lee Mount Vernon Soccer Club.

Secondly, we are delighted for Adam Spinelli to play a larger part within the club. Ramos said, “I’m thrilled to bring in Adam, a Stafford native, to the technical staff.  I grew up playing soccer against Adam locally, and I have followed his playing and coaching career ever since.  Excited to reunite with Adam at the soccer club where we both started our playing careers.  He will use his college playing and coaching experience to help develop our older players and coaches.” Adam attended Southern New Hampshire University from 2002-2003 and then Nova Southeastern University from 2004-2006. Adam earned bachelor’s degrees from Nova Southeastern University in sport management and business administration.  Adam also earned a master’s from the University of Arkansas in physical education.  As a player, Adam was a goalkeeper at SNHU and NSU.  He earned Freshmen of the Year at SNHU and played in the Division 2 National Championship Game in 2002.  Adam coached collegiately at Montana State University Billings from 2006 - 2010.  He continued his college coaching career as an assistant coach at the University of Mary Washington from 2011-2014.  Adam is also a former Assistant Technical Director at FFC.  Recently, Adam has been a staff coach for Stafford Soccer for the past four years.  Adam currently holds the National “B” License.

Lastly, we are thrilled Keith Moser’s experience will continue to be an integral component of the Technical Staff as he moves into the Assistant TDOC position.  Fernando Ramos (TDOC) and Keith will work closely together to collaborate on new ideas for the club. Keith will expand and develop our goal-keeping program as the new director. Ramos said, “Keith Moser is one of the most respected goalkeeper coaches in the US.  I’m excited to see Keith take Stafford’s goalkeeping program to the next level.  Keith will also be coming on board as my assistant TDOC helping me implement new ideas for the club.  I couldn’t ask for a more qualified assistant TDOC with 29 years of college coaching experience.” Keith attended the University of North Carolina Greensboro from 1984 – 1988.  Keith earned a BS in exercise science and health.  He played four years as a goalkeeper at UNCG; winning two NCAA National Championships in 1985 and 1986.  Keith served as the Head Coach for Marymount University for 29 years.  During his time at Marymount, he also coached for various Northern Virginia clubs like Arlington, Lee Mt. Vernon, FPYC, and Vienna.  Also, during his time at Marymount, Keith coached with the Maryland and Virginia ODP staffs.  Recently, Keith has worked as the Director of Player Development U11- U14 with Stafford Soccer. Keith currently holds a NCSAA National Diploma.

We are looking forward to having these sharp soccer minds working together and the endless possibilities it will bring for all our players!
