The fun is coming soon!  A HUGE thank you for registering to be a volunteer Coach for the 2024 Fall season. 

This season we will hold an in-person Coaches Meeting at Stafford Hospital on Saturday, Aug 17, 2024. All registered head coaches and assistant coaches are invited to attend.

COACHES MEETING DETAILS:   

• Saturday, 8/17/24, 9:00am-10:30am
• Gwyneth's Gift Foundation, Hands-Only CPR Training begins at 8:30am on a rolling basis
• Location is Stafford Hospital, 101 Hospital Center Blvd, Stafford, VA 22554 
• Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches, please attend
• Staff and Board Members will be on-site to answer questions
• Short presentations by office and technical staff
• Equipment pick-up
• Give-aways & raffles
• Gwyneth's Gift onsite with hands on demos
• Expect changes to your roster (Recreation)  
• A “virtual coaching packet” will be emailed on 8/17/24 at 4pm   

YOUR VIRTUAL PACKET WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:     

• Gwyneth’s Gift Hands-Only CPR Video 
• Links to any additional coaching information needed 
• A google form link for you to list your top 3 practice locations/days/times preferences   
• Practice session assignments will be made on a first come first served basis as the google form is date/time stamped   

REC/ACADEMY ESSENTIAL DATES:  

• 8/17/24 Coaches meeting  
• 8/17/24 - 8/22/24 REC Coaches reach out to their team with practice details asap when our fields coordinator has approved/confirmed your field request (no later than 8/22/24 please)
• Coach Training Sessions- TBA
• 8/19/24 First week of practices for Academy  
• 8/26/24 First week of practices for REC  
• 8/24/24 Jamboree (Academy only, Embrey Mill Fields)
• 9/7/24 OPENING WEEKEND! First weekend of games  
• 11/2/24 Last game weekend  
• 11/9/24 Held for rain-outs  

Practice Field Selection:  

The selection of practice fields will be managed online. We have prepared a "Request for Practice Field" google form, wherein the head coach will provide their top three options. The link to the form will be in your virtual coaching packet, which will be released to you via email at 4pm, Aug 17, 2024. The placement of coaches to practice fields will be on a "first-come, first-serve" basis. Please choose a field in your team's county quadrant.  You will not receive a field that is outside of your team's county quadrant.  If you are unsure, please contact recreation@staffordsoccer.com as soon as possible.
