Stafford Area Soccer is pleased to announce WAGS has named three of our teams as Sportsmanship winners. Our teams receiving this prestigious distinction are our U10 White Team coached by Catie Wine; U13 Gold Team coached by Joe DiStefano and our U14 Blue Team coached by Barry Hill.

Joining their fellow club mates with another Sportsmanship distinction are our U11 Girls Gold Travel team coached by Andrea Magrath and U15 Girls Gold Travel team coached by Marty Mendoza for receiving the Randy Rawls Sportmanship Award for the Fall 2011 season.

The prestigious award is named after Randy Rawls, one of the leagues original founders and its first President.  The award honors the winner’s sense of fair play, something for which Randy was renowned as he sought to bring soccer opportunities to the youth of Northern Virginia.  Randy has since retired to Florida where he authors detective mystery books www.randyrawls.com
