Stafford, VA (November 9, 2017) - Stafford Hospital and Stafford Soccer have had an alliance for over a year, working toward creating ways for all athletes to focus not only on their soccer skills, but staying healthy as well as injury recovery.
Although they have been working together informally, both Stafford Soccer and Stafford Hospital are proud to announce this alliance is now a formal partnership.
“A formal partnership is a natural extension of the relationship we had forged with Stafford Hospital over the last year” said Technical Director Barry Hill. “We are happy to make the formal announcement to the Stafford community.”
Stafford Hospital has partnered with Stafford Soccer on a concussion training seminar at the semi-annual coaches meeting and hosted seminars for parents and players on injury prevention and nutrition. Coming in the next season for the Healthful Athlete series is a discussion on heart and foot health for our coaches and an opportunity to attend Hands-Only CPR Training through Gwyneth’s Gift Foundation.

Stafford Soccer serves 3,000 Stafford County families each season with three increasing competitive levels of play. The organization focuses on player development and love of the game for players 4 years to 19 years old. Stafford Soccer also serves the over 20 population through an Adult Recreation League. Travel players from Stafford Soccer have gone on to play collegiate soccer through our College Guidance Program.
