Conklin Scramble - Lousy Weather - Great Play!
225+ Classic & Travel Players Enjoy the Small-Sided Games

The Classic Division occupied Pratt Park on November 4th, 2006 as its U10 through U14 players participated in a Conklin Scramble along with some guests. Over 350 players participated while some Classic Division make-up games were played on other fields.

The Conklin Scramble is named after Tim Conklin, the founder of the Classic League. Teams were formed randomly and players typically ended up on teams with players from other classic or travel teams. Small-sided games were played with coaches monitoring the games. After each game, teams re-formed and the players then played again (a number of times).

This was a great opportunity for the kids to meet other soccer players and to problem solve as they organized themselves to take on other teams. Full participation from coaches ensures event success. Conklin Scrambles typically include Classic players, invited travel players and recreation players looking to eventually move into the Classic and Travel Division programs.

THANK YOU to all the volunteers and support and we hope to see you at the next event in April!!
