Professional instructors will also provide Classic coach training. These coach training sessions serve as a meet and greet and a reminder of the E Certification and/or D License training methods that the coaches should employ with their teams.
Player training begins shortly thereafter and will take place at an available field (typically GEMS or Pratt Park). The training format has single teams, or a group of teams working with the instructors. U8 and U10 teams received priority scheduling as a higher percentage of their fees go toward paying for these instructors. Players used a size 1 ball for the training in addition to an age-appropriate ball (size 3, 4 or 5, as applicable).
Classic trainers are experienced and are working toward becoming part of, or are already members of the State coaching education staff.
